Simple Butter Cookies


  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour


  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Gradually add the all-purpose flour to the butter mixture, mixing well until a soft dough forms.
  4. Scoop small portions of dough and shape them into balls or use cookie cutters for different shapes.
  5. Place the shaped cookies on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the edges of the cookies are lightly golden.
  7. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
