Chocolate Brownie 


  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips


  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  3. Once the butter has melted, add the sugar and stir until well combined.
  4. Remove the pan from heat and allow it to cool for a few minutes.
  5. Add the eggs and vanilla to the pan and whisk until the mixture is smooth.
  6. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  7. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
  8. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  9. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth out the top with a spatula.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  11. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for a few minutes before removing them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  12. Once cooled, cut the brownies into squares and enjoy!
