  • 1 cup yogurt
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • 1 teaspoon Eno fruit salt
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
  • Grated coconut for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix gram flour, semolina, oil, ginger-green chili paste, yogurt, salt, sugar, and lemon juice to form a smooth batter. Let it rest for 15-20 minutes.
  2. In a steamer, bring water to a boil.
  3. Grease a steaming tray or thali with oil.
  4. Just before steaming, add Eno fruit salt to the batter and mix well. The batter will become frothy.
  5. Pour the batter into the greased tray and place it in the steamer.
  6. Steam for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
