Eggless omelette
Ingredients:
- 1 cup besan (gram flour)
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup finely chopped vegetables (e.g. onion, tomato, capsicum, spinach)
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- Salt, to taste
- Oil, for cooking
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, add besan, water, red chili powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder and salt. Whisk well to form a smooth batter.
- Add finely chopped vegetables to the batter and mix well.
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add a teaspoon of oil.
- Pour a ladleful of the batter onto the pan and spread it evenly into a round shape.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side, until it turns golden brown.
- Flip the omelet and cook for another 2-3 minutes on the other side.
- Repeat the process for the remaining batter.
- Serve hot with your favorite chutney or sauce.
