Chocolate cookies
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the milk and vanilla extract to the mixing bowl and mix until well combined.
- In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake the cookies for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are slightly firm to the touch.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
