Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chocolate Chip Cookies 

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the applesauce and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  7. Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches of space between each cookie.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
