Chocolate Brownie
ingredients
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
- Once the butter has melted, add the sugar and stir until well combined.
- Remove the pan from heat and allow it to cool for a few minutes.
- Add the eggs and vanilla to the pan and whisk until the mixture is smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth out the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for a few minutes before removing them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, cut the brownies into squares and enjoy!
