Aloo Tikki in Oven

Ingredients :

  • 4 medium sized potatoes
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup chopped onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for brushing

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C/400°F.
  2. Peel and boil the potatoes until they are soft and cooked through. Drain the water and let the potatoes cool.
  3. Once the potatoes have cooled down, mash them in a bowl.
  4. Add bread crumbs, chopped onions, coriander leaves, garam masala powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder, and salt to the mashed potatoes. Mix well.
  5. Grease a baking tray with oil.
  6. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into flat patties.
  7. Place the patties on the greased baking tray.
  8. Brush the patties with oil.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Flip the patties halfway through the cooking process, so that they cook evenly on both sides.
  11. Once the Aloo Tikkis are cooked, remove them from the oven and serve hot with mint chutney or any dipping sauce of your choice.
